Streetdance 3D looks a million dollars or, rather, however much like Manhattan as could reasonably be expected: cranes and block distribution center rooms and glorious high rises and sausage. Whoever enlisted a helicopter for the overhead shots truly lucked out, as well: a heart-halting nightfall splashes each filler shot, actually climbed tinting the city. Watchful camera glare includes yet more visual bling and, probably, papers over any breaks.
That is fortunate. For however StreetDance 3D may look as though it’s straight outta Compton, the plot is immaculate Byker Grove but a scene that predicts the present rage for street moving (shaking about while hostile rap crashes away), activated by the achievement of Diversity and George Sampson (both of whom cameo) on Britain’s Got Talent.
