I have not caught wind of this film until it was reported as a TCFF lineup. I was quickly attracted to it as a result of Saoirse Ronan who’s been fabulous in all that I’ve seen her in as such.
This time it’s the same. In this film adjustment of novel by Meg Rosoff, Ronan plays a tension y American adolescent Daisy, who reluctantly goes to go through her Summer get-away with her cousin in an English farmland. When she’s there, the country house is in finished wreckage as her four cousins, Isaac (Tom Holland), Piper (Harley Bird), Edmond “Eddie” (George MacKay) essentially needed to take care of themselves as their mother is included in a baffling undertaking, something about the ‘peace process,’ who’s immediately raced to Geneva, never to be seen again.
